Lil Wayne’s New Arabic Tattoo Gets Mocked on the Internet

A couple of days ago we shared the news that Lil Wayne got some new face tattoos. One above his left eyebrow, which

is in Arabic, and another on his chin of the all-seeing eye pyramid, that sits on the back of the dollar bill.

However, it didn’t take long for people on the Internet to not only give the artwork negative feedback, but to also tell the

rapper the Arabic saying doesn’t make any sense.

The eyebrow tat is supposed to say “Mama’s Boy,” but according to folks who speak the language, the Arabic scrawling
doesn’t mean anything.

“Lil Wayne decided to get ‘Mumma’s Boy’ in Arabic over his left eyebrow. Should I be the person to tell him that his tattoo

artist messed up?’ wrote one commenter (spotted by Al Arabiya News). Another follower chimed in and tweeted,

“Never use Google Translate to generate the text of your tattoo.” A third person, who claims to be fluent in Arabic,

says he has no idea what the tattoo says.

It’ll be interesting to see if Lil Tunechi fixes the blunder or ignore the negative chatter altogether.

Either way, tattoo artist Spider, who did the otherwise creative pieces on Weezy’s face, said he was honored to work on

the rapper.

“Couple of pieces I did on my man Lil Wayne,” he wrote via social media. “Very hospitable and professional client. Thanks Wayne.”
