2ND ANNUAL GIDI CULTURE FESTIVAL TO HOLD APRIL 4, 2015 AT EKO ATLANTIC

GCFest Media Partners

The Gidi Culture Festival hits Lagos once again on Saturday, April 4th, 2015.
The one-‐day beach festival event will kick-‐off in the afternoon with day activities ranging from beach soccer to The Melting Pot; an African food court, offering dishes from all over Nigeria, and of course live band music. At night, the main stage lights up with Africa’s best entertainers, hosts and DJs. The Gidi Culture Festival; a Nigerian conceptualized and produced event, aims to celebrate and promote African music, whilst giving youth-‐minded Africans a fun filled day to where they can enjoy good music and be amongst great company.
GCFest is presented by Eclipse Live, along with this year’s main sponsors; Lagos State, Eko Atlantic, Diamond Bank and LASAA. To add to the festival experience, Team GCFest have teamed up with Chisco, Easy Taxi, Jovago.com and Smile.
The 2014 inaugural edition of GCFest brought 4,500 festivalgoers to Elegushi Beach where they enjoyed both daytime activities and music from the continent’s best artists and DJs including Ice Prince, Dami Krane, DJ Obi and Seyi Shay. This Year’s Gidi Culture Festival will take place at Eko Atlantic and promises to be bigger and better, with more food, fashion, art, sports and Africa’s best musical talents.
Speaking on the event, Chin Okeke, one of The Gidi Culture Festival’s founders says, “The Gidi Culture Festival is built around three core pillars -‐ youth, live entertainment and Africa. This year, we’re excited to bring you a full day of activities ranging from beach sports to an art installation supporting local artists and a main stage showcasing the best performers from across the African continent. The festival is homegrown in, Las Gidi, the heart of modern day Nigeria. There will be something for all and music lovers will be entertained by true performers and musicians”.
Further information such as the event line up, giveaways, and goodies, will be revealed in upcoming weeks. For a full listing of partners, sponsors and artists visit www.gidiculturefestival.com
