Tell it to Diane. Bruce Jenner will sit down with Diane Sawyer to discuss his transition from male
to female, Us Weekly can confirm.A source close to the ABC News veteran tells Us that Sawyer's interview with Jenner, 65, is no surprise. "Diane has always been very supportive of the LGBT community," the insider tells Us. "She has been honored by GLAAD."
According to Page Six, the Olympic legend's interview will air in May. An ABC source tells the paper that portions of the interview will begin filming this week.
Along with his sit-down with Sawyer, Jenner's journey will also be chronicled in his very own unscripted E! series, which the motivational speaker is currently filming. "The world will see his full transformation," a Jenner source toldUs. "It's a docuseries featuring the Jenner family talking about Bruce 'coming out.'"
As previously reported by Us, Jenner will also address his transformation during the upcoming season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
As he preps to make his brave announcement, Bruce has stepped out recently sporting longer locks, fuller lips, painted nails, and diamond earrings.
Amidst his transition, sources tell Us that Jenner has the full support of his 10 children and stepchildren, including stepdaughters Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, daughters Kendall and Kylie, and sons Brody and Brandon.
"They all have become protective of him and just want him to live the way he wants," one insider told Us.
Kim, meanwhile, told Entertainment Tonight in an interview last week that Jenner was "the happiest" she's ever seen him.
"I think everyone goes through things in life, and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he'll share whenever the time is right,” she remarked of his latest transformation. "I feel like that's his journey to talk about."
